The opening meeting of the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH "Beyond the Divide: Effective Use of Artificial Intelligence for Equitable English Language Teaching" (BRIDGE-ELT) project, coordinated by our university and led by Prof. Dr. Cennet Engin, and carried out by Assoc. Dr. Nur Akkuş Çakır, Assoc. Dr. Erkan Er, Res. Asst. Fadime Ural and Res. Asst. Sultan Köprülü, was held on January 16-17, 2025, with the participation of Ankara Provincial Director of National Education Yaşar Koçak and METU Faculty of Education Dean Prof. Dr. Mustafa Levent İnce.

BRIDGE-ELT aims to promote the effective use of AI-powered tools in equitable and inclusive English language teaching while providing innovative solutions for teachers and students across Europe. The project is conducted through international collaboration to maximize the potential of digital transformation and artificial intelligence in education, with a strong focus on supporting equal opportunities in learning.
